Ahh-some Hot Tub/Jetted Bath Plumbing & Jet Cleaner is a unique and environmentally friendly gel formula that, when used as directed, removes the build-up of bio-fouling inorganics, oils, lotions, cosmetics, exfoliated skin and other contaminants – from the plumbing, jets, and shell of typical hot tubs and jetted bathtubs.

Cleaning Instructions: For jetted tubs, at least 1/2 teaspoon of gel is required per purge, no matter the size of your tub. For hot tubs, use 1 teaspoon of gel for every 125 gallons. Wipe off any excess gunk or grime from the tub surface after purge to complete the cleaning process.

Setup & Usage Instructions:

Add one tablespoon (3 level teaspoons) of gel to a 300 -350 gallon hot tub before your maintenance purge. Bath plumbing and jet cleaner Tablespoons depend on your hot tub’s water capacity.

Run the pump(s) to attain maximum circulation; foaming will appear quickly inside the vessel. Be sure to open the air intake valve(s).

Remove and rinse the filter(s) and place it inside the hot tub water. Run the jets and blower for 30 minutes.

Shut the system down and drain.

Rinse the hot tub with fresh water.

6

Remove the filter(s) from the tub and rinse off with a hose.

    There’s a lot of conventional and not-so conventional wisdom out there about how to clean the tubing and internal plumbing of a jetted bathtub. There are a lot of products out there that claim to do the job too. I tried all of it, and the one thing that got the jetted tub in my apartment to run clean was ahh-some jetted tub cleaner. When we first moved in, there was no indication the jets had been used or cleaned, maybe ever. I had to use a lot of this stuff to get what began as a thick black pudding coming out of the pipes to break down into brown, green, even red film. I still purged the pipes about once a month, but with just a teaspoon or so of this stuff and a little household bleach for good measure, the water in my old jetted tub run clean. I was so dismayed at first, thinking there was no end in site – but purge after purge the progress was obvious (and disgusting). But now, a decade old jetted tub used and abused by who-knows-how-many previous tenants is now sparkling clean.
